The State Treasurer’s Office and the Vermont Dept. of Libraries are partnering to promote financial literacy week 2014. The RFL supports this effort and we can provide patrons with access to information from general budgeting to specifics of investing. Stop by and ask at the desk what is available to you as a patron to help get your pocketbook in order.

National Poetry Month
April is National Poetry Month and there is a lot of poetry programming happening right around us. The town of Randolph is celebrating National Poetry Month with a month long celebration. Below you will find some of the highlighted events as well a link to some of the activities.
- April 3 – poetry reading by Vermont poet laureate Sydney Lea
- April 15 – a shared reading by Vermont poets Samn Stockwell and Pamela Harrison
- April 10 – an open mic reading at which any Vermont poet may read
- April 21 – a PoJazz ehttp://poemcityvt.wordpress.com/poemcity-2014/poemcampus-norwich-university-2014/vent at which a jazz quartet will play while poets Geof Hewitt and Tony Whedon and writers Angela Palm and Jessica Hendry Nelson read
PoemTown Randolph will culminate with a celebration called “Powerful Poems and Decadent Desserts” at Chandler Center for the Arts on May 1.

Children’s Story Hour
The 8-week winter story hour session concluded in March. Story hour is on break until late spring or early summer.
RFL accepting donations for the 2014 Green Up Day Book Sale
The RFL will be hosting the annual Green Up Day Booksale on 5/3/2014. We will be accepting donations at the library for the sale up until the 2nd of May. Thanks for your support and we look forward to seeing you at Green Up Day.
